Né dans le sud de Londres en 1975, Tayo a grandit dans une famille mélomane entre la musique classique et la musique traditionnelle nigèrienne. Il commenca pendant ses études à jouer dans de petite soirée drum'n bass, et deveint journaliste musical ce qui lui a permis d'interviewer Roni Size et de rencontrer tout le monde de la drum'n bass. Mais le mouvement qui devenait trop "heavy metal" l'a conduit vers le breakbeat.

“Basically what I’m trying to do with this album is show that the breaks that you hear in Room One of Fabric would also fit with the stuff that you might hear down at FWD, or at a Hollertronix night [...] So this mix is a celebration of breakbeat culture and bass culture." - Tayo

Dominic Butler & Mark Yardley de leurs véritables noms composent le duo Stanton Warriors. Originaires tout deux nés en angleterre, ils ont commencés par mixer dans de petites soirées puis on petit a petit commencer a produire et a remixer de nombreuses tracks notamment pour Basement Jaxx et Fatboy Slim.
